Schedule of Values Template for Property Insurance

A property insurance SOV template should make every insured location easy to identify and value. It does not need to be complicated, but it does need the right columns.

Minimum useful SOV columns

Include location ID, address, city, state or province, country, occupancy, construction, total insured value, and currency. Larger schedules may add building value, contents, stock, business interruption, year built, roof age, and protection details.

Why the template matters

A consistent template reduces underwriter follow-up and makes concentration review easier. It also helps brokers and insureds keep renewal data comparable year over year.
